Empower all the Women around You

Just before my 40^th I started experiencing signs of early peri-menopause!  Night sweats, weight gain, rocky relationships, irregular periods…  I was shocked that I was having these symptoms so early, especially as I’m relatively healthy and fit being a Homeopath & Health Coach.

When I started to talk to my girlfriends and clients about them, I found they were having them too.  So I dug out my Homeopathy and Nutrition college notes, anatomy & physiology books, and every book I could find on Hormones, piecing together a jigsaw to create a Holistic hormone program for my girlfriends and clients.

On the 18^th September 2018  I woke up that morning knowing that I had to make some changes.  Without meaning to sound too wacky… “I’d say it was a calling to help more women through the hormonal shift naturally”. It was time to launch “The Hormone Fairy” to the world, 2 years after it was first created!

My husband David called (we were separated but the best of friends and had a successful business together) however I was too engrossed in my work and planned to call him back later.  Then I got distracted on Instagram and started to screenshot inspirational quotes for my business.

A bit later I tried to call David back with no answer, so nipped out for lunch with a friend to share my excitement that I was finally ready to launch “The Hormone Fairy”.  That’s when my world fell apart…

I received a call from David, but it wasn’t David, it was the paramedics asking me his medical history. He had fallen off his bike, hit his head, was unconscious and they were giving him CPR.  My friend told me not to worry, but I knew the paramedics were wrong, I knew it was his heart and not a fall. You see, David had suffered a cardiac arrest 10 months earlier, thankfully that time I’d got him to A&E in time and after 25 minutes they’d got his heart beating again.  Call it intuition but I just knew in my heart that he wouldn’t make it out on the roadside.  I drove straight to the local hospital, crying and shouting out “fight David fight”.  I will never forget the moment I stood in the entrance of the hospital waiting for news.  My phone rang and the Air Ambulance said “I really don’t like to tell this over the phone” …. my reply “It’s ok, I already know he has gone”

The last few months have been challenging to say the least.  Whilst I’ve lost loved ones before, including my Dad, I have never felt grief like losing someone so close to me and the father of my children.

Fast forward to New Years Day, I was scrolling through my camera roll and came across the photo quotes that I’d screenshot, and noticed that they were taken at the exact time that David suffered his cardiac arrest and fell off his bike.

David was showing me a sign…. It was time to launch “The Hormone Fairy” and “Empower all the Women around ME”

So today, 17^th February 2019 would have been David’s 53^rd Birthday.  The perfect day to celebrate the Birth and launch of “The Hormone Fairy”

I know first hand how hard it is to look after yourself, whilst dealing with every day chores, work, relationship ups and downs, kids, ageing parents and Grief…...
